Jordan Brand pays homage to one of its first colorway themes with the Jordan 4 Retro Metallic Green. In 1985, the Air Jordan 1 was the first in its lineage to receive the “Metallic” treatment. Four metallic colorways originally released – including red, orange, purple, and green. This release draws inspiration from the color blocking of the Jordan 1 Metallic Green and Jordan 4 Retro Classic Green. This Jordan 4 features a white leather upper with white netted underlays and Metallic Green detailing on the upper eyelets. A Metallic Green Jumpman logo on the heel, white sole, and Metallic Green Air bubble complete the design.
The Air Jordan 4 Metallic Green is one of several colorways that salute Jordan Brand’s storied history. The “Metallic Pack” of Air Jordan 4s from 2020 honor the Air Jordan 1 “Metallic” colorways, which were original makeups of Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe from 1985. Like the other designs in the Jordan 4 “Metallic” this “Green” variant features an appealing two-toned look with a white leather upper and tonal netting on the mid-panel and tongue. Contrasting metallic Pine Green hits on the lace eyelets and Jumpman insignia on the heel pop against the crisp white base. Green Jumpman branding can be found on the nylon tongue tab and inner lining of the tongue. Staying true to the design of the original Jordan 4 worn by Michael in the ‘80s, a visible Air window is located in the heel.
